Ok so I got a revlon colorstay foundation like during this past summer time. I never used it because it was to light for my skin in the summer. So it's been untouched,my skin is now lighter. So the question is can I use it or toss it and go get a new one? I tested it on my hand and the consistency is still good.

They may need a receipt to exchange. Stores can be stingy. However, what I suggest is to play with it a bit. Use a super tiny amount and see if it works. If the consistency is still good then it won't hurt to try and to play with it! :)

As long as it doesn't smell bad or look any different.. you should be fine

Foundations have a shelf life of about a year, you should be safe to use it, especially if it hasn't been opened!

Yes, take it back. It's unused and too light for your skin, right? Return it. If it's expired they would know or not but that's up to them.

I just bought the same foundation (2013) and it says it'll expire in 2016. So I guess you should be safe. But if you're still unsure, try exchanging it if possible. :)
