So i can't go very long w out liner. Even if i dnt use ne other makeup, liner n gloss r a must. But i have oddly sensitive eyes. They water easily n a lot. Also, i always seems 2get little pieces of liner flex in my eye in my eyes. The only type of liner i haven't tried is gel or something I'd have 2usethe liner brush in my brush kit 4. Also, these waterproof liners r not waterproof or they wouldn't wash away even from me slightly tearing up. So, I'm here 2ask my pros, which liner is the best? As far as being waterproof, long lasting, smudgeproof n none flaky? I have triex several brands n right now I'm usin the retractable MAC waterproof pencil. I like it but it doesn't stand up 2my eyes. HELP!

I've discovered MAC fluid line is the ONLY liner than can hold up to my watery eyes. Every time I yawn it looks like I'm crying and my eyeliner runs, except for when I use the Mac.

I've been wearing makeup for a really long time so I've experienced all of those. I've found that using eyeshadow is the best. All you need is a cheap black or whatever color eyeshadow and the proper brush and you have eyeliner that will last you forever. It will stay on your eyes for the whole day if need be and you won't have to continue to buy it. Hope this helps.

The best liquid eyeliner hands down is Loreal's linear intense in carbon black. I've used it for years and it never smudges or flakes. and it's only like $8! Also if your eyes tear a lot you should try using an over the counter eye lubricating drop like Systane or Refresh. Your eyes are probably dry and that's why they're tearing believe it or not. Well hope this advice helps. Good luck!

Well, for me... Liquid.. Because gel eyeliner dries fast. And it's hard to use it again...

I've used them all, and I have super sensitive eyes. My favorite is the stila gel liner. I notice it doesn't dry up as fast as other gel liners, and it's the perfect consistency.

I have oily lids & eye area. I've tried so many eyeliners, dealing with the same problems you are talking about. I find using loreal infallible laquer liner on my waterline is magic. And also I only use liquid liner on my upper lid. Everything else smudges/smears up there. I love the rimmel exaggerate liner. The drugstore has a lot of goodies that work a lot better than a lot of higher end products.

Definitely the stila waterproof eyeliner, it's liquid with a felt tip, so easy to apply and stays put!

I have very watery eyes myself. Everything makes them water. The two products I've found that work the best and haven't made me water AND last through my teary eye condition are NARS Larger Than Life (all colors, I use the nude (Rue Bonaparte) one EVERYDAY because along with teary eyes, I also have very red eyes so the nude is awesome). Tarte gel liner is great, i use black, its super black and doesn't budge or dry out. LOVE both of these so much.

Gel > Liquid > Pencil. Although, it depends on the look being created.
In my opinion, gel eyeliner is the most versatile and long lasting. You can create such a precise line and wings, due having the option of using different sized brushes. Additionally, you can create a lovely smoky eye with it before it dries completely just by blending it out whereas, you cannot do that with liquid eyeliner. You only have one brush size with liquid eyeliner however, it isn't too challenging to apply and if an error occurs, it is very easy to correct. The liquid wipes away effortlessly in comparison to the other two eyeliners. Pencil eyeliner doesn't wipe away as easily because of their thick consistency and tendency to smudge. On the contrary, some pencil eyeliners are a good base for (close) matching eyeshadows to be applied onto. Also, the majority of the time, they're good to use when creating a softer look.
I use Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner and I love it! I've worn it to a foam party before and it stayed on perfectly, yet it was so easy to remove.

liquid can be trickier however if your worried about liquid being thin or too strong, I have always gone over my eyeliner (gel, pencil, liquid) with eye shadow! It always lasts

I think you should try a gel liner, because they will not get in your eyes and do not smudge as easily :P

inglot gel liner is the best liner out there. it stays blacker longer than fluidline, it lasts on my waterline all day and its only $12. i like the gel best because i can get the crisp line like liquid, smuged effect line pencil and the lasting power on my waterline all with one product.

I like all three but I prefer gel liner (Inglot 77) for the top and pencil for my waterline. I have really oily skin and watery eyes. Inglot's gel liners do not budge. I can wear it for 12 hours and it still looks good. Liquid is hard for me because it can shift into my eye during the day and my hands aren't that steady. Gel liner and pencil liner are easier for me to apply.

Try a waterproof marker liner! You can also play with styles too! Like cat eye, egyptian and many other edgy ways to wear eyeliner!

I love markers and gel liners. I have horrible experiences with pencils, all of them. I just use pencils when I am gonna smudge and that's it.
