First off, is it BSS? (Beauty supply store) if so, the only thing you can do is dye it darker. As far as lightening, it will destroy the hair. It's already processed so bleaching (you have to lift in order to lighten) it will be detrimental.

What she said! I learned the hard way before I got my micro beads done. DON't LIGHTEN THEM, ugh it looked like a dead animal! Can't stress that enough lol real talk. If you get BSS get blond ones and color them to your liking, works like a charm.

Have you tried the loreal hicolor for dark hair only? I just did my whole head a deep burgundy. its nice not having to bleach then color. its all in one step.
