Ponytail? Or actually if you have a headband it would be nice.

Or do you mean for the wedding? In that case a dramatic bun would be nice.

You can still wear your hair straight if you "wrap it". After the shower let your hair air dry a little and while it's still somewhat damp "wrap" it around your head and secure with bobby pins and bandanas. You'll have to Youtube a video because it's really hard to explain. It's a technique African American women use to preserve their hair after they've flat ironed it.
Also, you can brush and blow dry your hair at the same time. That will get it pretty straight with a bit of volume.

Pwahaha brushing and blow drying... Yr trying to give me an afro from the 80's! But I love the braid pic and the wrap sounds interesting.. I may wrap it to loosen my curls then do the braid!

My friendhas very curly hair and she uses a blow dryer and brush to straighten hair. when her hair is damp she puts a straightening serum and a heat protectant than sections off hair, she puts brush on the underside of her hair and has blow dryer on top going down with the brush. lol not sure if you understand but it works for her.

No offense I assumed you were Caucasian hahah! I didn't zoom into your profile picture. We have very similar hair textures. The wrap does not work for me with damp hair, only when it's already straight to preserve the straightness. My hair also turns into a fro when I brush and blow dry. 😂
