So I had this texture spray by VOS on my hair in the morning and later on, went to practice my curling skills with a flat iron. After all that, I went to have a hair wash & immediately I noticed this foul smell!
Thought it was the flat iron still on but NO!
It's my hair! My hair smells so feral and nasty, I got no idea whether it's burnt or it's the chemicals from VOS texture spray!
I tried a nourishing mask from Lush to cover the smell at least but it's still overwhelming!
If it was burnt, my hair would be incredibly frizzed out but it's not as bad as I have had it in the past. Temperature of flat iron was 220 Celsius degree.
Please, pretty please help me!
The smell is so off putting!

I'd try a rinse with lemon juice.

What about tomato juice? Isn't that supposed to get rid of skunk smell from a dogs fur? Or is that a wives tale?

Thank for answering! I'll try both & hopefully it'll least fade the smell.

You can try apple cider vinegar. It sounds counter active but I got paint cleaner in my hair (long story) and my hair smelled disgusting for a few washes, I use ACV on my hair to get rid of build up every few days and it got rid of the smell. Just a 1/4 cup of vinegar in a large bottle of water is what I use, and I rinse and scrub. It helped so much.
