I need to know this too. :)

I don't think color matters, more so how you line them. From my understanding though dark colors can make your lips look thinner while lighter colors can help with fullness.

Put concealer on your lips and line them with liner draw outside the line (just a little bit) and fill your lips in with the lip liner after that apply the lipstick and for the finishing touch add lip gloss. But the lip liner and the lip stick should be the same exact color but the lip gloss can be around the same color or clear.

But initially you should pick light colors like nude, light pink, and peach.

I feel like the edges of my lips look weird when I put liner past my lips.

No, just don't go crazy draw like right under the line.

I find that my lips look plumper with a lipstick with luster to it, it gives the lip a look of more dimension, and a dab of gloss in the middle of the bottom lip and just at your Cupid's bow adds depth too.

Also, after an exfoliating treatment, (brown sugar works fine) when the lips are a little roughed up, they look plumper too. Also try lipsticks formulated with collagen, which are made for plump seekers like yourself :)

I have thin lips. I have tried lining them at the edge of the lips but it just looks weird IMO. I used to feel like I could only wear lighter colors too but I'm over it! I like the way my lips look now in any color. In the 1920's and 30's thin, dark lips were the "in" thing. Beauty is so subjective, don't worry so much, just accept yourself and feel confident about how you look.

I agree with Bree. I did hair and makeup for weddings and such for years. Never liked the ring around the outside. A dab of highlighter in the middle bottom lip and highlighter just above the Cupid's bow works pretty good like Kee said. I think thin lips can look great with color. If its a big day play up the eyes!!
