Try using a hair mask or apply coconut oil to it and wash it out very good.

Yeah I would suggest a trim because when it splits there's nothing thats going to unsplit it sad to say

I agree with Elaiah, it's more of a hair cut thing. You can just get a trim, don't worry. I know Tre'semme has some split end shampoo conditioner system that my friend always raves about, and it's inexpensive if you want to try that.

Steps to decrease more split ends:
1.) deep condition week atleats 1-2 with coconut oil or olive oil ( this helps give moisture and help mend the hair)
2.) lay off the heat
3.) if you have exteme split ends that are way past making healthy, then trim it

trust me I use to struggle a lot with split end and deep condition has helped the splits decrease and helped repair, one time they were on beyond repair so I got a trim

It depends if you wanna cut your hair or not if you do then trim your ends and lay of the flat irons and when you go to sleep wrap your hair up in a bun cause that cause 20%of your split ends and I recommend nexxus split end serum

Whenever I cut my hair the split ends come back soon later, I don't over wash or use heat so I don't know hy.
