How often do you clean your beauty blender?

How often do you clean your beauty blenders/sponges?
Also, any methods to make it dry quicker? It seems to just retain the water for forever even though I squeeze it in a towel. Sometimes I try to blowdry it on a cool setting but it just makes the water set it the middle. v.v'

@Kensie; well, I don't use sponges, but I usually clean my brushes a couple times a week, depending on how much I use them or if I'm doing colourful looks, it could be more.

sponges are meant to retain water so it does take a looong time to get them dry. to dry a sponge I usually do what you do, squeeze it into a towel as hard as I can a few times. I then put them over a vent - usually the one in my bathroom - & after a few hours the sponge is dry :p

I clean my beauty blender after like 2 uses. It can get a lot of product build up and since it's a sponge, I'm sure it harbors bacteria!

I clean it with antibacterial soap and warm water whenever I'm about to use it. I do this every time because you have to wet it anyways, so I figure that I might as well thoroughly clean it also- especially because I'll be touching my face with it. After applying my foundation with it, I leave it out to dry on something that isn't a flat surface so that it can dry on all sides properly. if you leave it sitting somewhere while it stays wet, the more bacteria it will harbor and greater chances of mold growing inside of it.

I clean mine after every 3rd use with an antibacterial soap and warm water. Do it right after you finish use it and let it dry overnight.

I recommend you try and clean it every day. I use antibacterial soap to clean mine. As said above, you have to wet it before you use it so you could even clean your sponge before doing your makeup xx

I shower with mine because I live in a basement with no access to running water and it's a hassle to run up the stairs to a sink. I clean mine with my facial cleanser because some soaps bother my face.

I clean mine everyday right before I use it. It's meant to be used wet anyways. If you use it dry the sponge just absorbs all of your product and you end up wasting a lot. It also gives a natural more flawless look when used wet.

I agree with Jacqueline. Yes...I wash my sponge everyday before I use it with a bit of shampoo. It give better result than a dry sponge.
