I've been wanting to apply for MAC! I'm just clueless about how to prepare for this and what exactly they would be looking for. I'm currently going to a makeup academy called QC Makeup Academy it's an online course. I was hoping maybe I can work go them even though I'm still in school.. Or Should I wait until I'm finished?? :/ I'm also doing freelancing work on the side I've done a few weddings and party events.

Check out YouTube. There's plenty videos on how to get a job there. I know a few ladies that work there, you definitely need a portfolio of the work you've done on clients.

You don't need to wait until you finish just make sure your resume is made for cosmetic retail as opposed to the regular business ones.
I'd say put your experience at the top, school at the bottom. Speak directly to a manager let them know you're currently attending a makeup program and also doing event makeup- they'll let you know if there are any hiring fairs coming up and set up an interview if they're interested.
During the interview just talk up your retail and customer service skills. Your knowledge of the brand, wear mac makeup because they will ask. Let them know you'll be a an asset to the company etc.
practice timing yourself on application. I had 20 minutes for a full face, practice your foundation matching and symmetry. And clean everything before using it!
Palettes, spatulas, napkins, alcohol!
It took about 3 weeks before I heard back then another month before my first day. Good luck :)
