Uh H.
My eyes are small, brown, and very close-set, although I do have long eyelashes. Any makeup ideas on how to balance them out?

Put light shimmery colors on the inner corners to make eyes appear further apart.

Try not to concentrate a lot of colour on the middle of the lid. go with dianas second picture where you put a bolder colour on the outer corners of the eyes which will make your eyes appear further apart.

I agree with shelby, highlighting the inner corners of your eyes will make that space look larger, therefore making your eyes look farther apart. Focus your eye makeup on the outside of your eyes to create the look of your eyes pulling outward. Winged liner, winged lashes, etc. will help that. Also, avoid lining the lower waterline with dark liner - that will make your eyes look smaller. Line your lower waterline with nude or white liner, and then blend out any darker eyeliner you use underneath. A harsh line will close up your eyes, so blend blend blend!

You'd be surprised how much putting bottom mascara can help open your eyes ^.^
