So about a week ago, I started noticing that I had crazy bad dandruff and my hair is thinning like crazy.. I don't know what to do. I have been doing a coconut oil treatment here and there to help my hair grow but I am clueless to what is happening..

Could just be that time of the month where your hair falls out, don't worry it will stop everyone will go threw that I don't remember what the scientific name is it's in one of my old hair school books but everyone will eventually go threw it.

Mane n tail horse shampoo and conditioner is really good for hair growth, thickening and moisturising so it might be worth giving that a try! If not I would say maybe try head and shoulders :)

I had the same problem with dandruff..and started using head&&shoulders , it definitely helped a lot!

Listen to what Jolynn is saying. It's your hair cycle starting over and new hair is growing in. And do not use Mane n' Tail or Head and Shoulders, they're both awful for your hair and you probably have dry scalp, not dandruff. Try a moisturizing scalp treatment and see if it helps.

Thank you ladies :) it is just kind of weird because my hair stopped being thick. I am more of a natural, so with all the good things I hear about mane n tail and head & shoulders, I try to stick to natural remedies. I appreciate the input.

Paul Mitchell has a tea tree oil shampoo and treatment that soothes and will stop itching and reduce flaking. I'd alternate that with Head & Shoulders, which has really stepped up their game. Thinning hair is sometimes due to a health issue. If it continues over time, I'd consider a blood panel. Drying of the skin and thinning hair are both common symptoms of a thyroid that's off. My best to you.

You called it, I have had hypothyroidism since I was born. Back on my meds, we shall see the progress. Thank you. :)
