Don't use moisturizer it just.adds more oil. Try this http://www.nigelbeauty.com/p-12673-blot-out-offensive-5oz.aspx it acts as a barrier so your face.doesn't.grease up

Try a shielding lotion like the Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion. It soaks into the skin rather than on top, like most moisturizers. Also, use a primer. Mattifying Gel by MAC works wonders! Also, try using a cream or mousse foundation. This is something that really helped my oiliness. I use Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation and I mix it with the Boots No. 7 Intelligent Balance Mousse foundation (both found at Target). One of those or even both will work amazing for oily skin!

I have oily skin too! Very badly actually. My dermatologist said to use a moisturizer for sure; if you don't your oil glands go into overdrive to get your skin hydrated; hence over oily skin. Also I've been using milk of magnesia on my skin in the morning under my normal makeup routine and its helped tremendously!!!!

You should use an oil free moisturizer & use blotting sheets to wipe away oil throughout the day.

I am a skin therapist, and hear me when I say, everyone needs to exfoliate and moisturize! Get you a nice light moisturizer, like Clinique dramatically different moisturizing GEL. It's only about $14 at sephora for the size in the tube. It should last you about 5 months

Oh, and the only 2 great foundations I have used that actually do not grease up!! Estée Lauder double wear light, and Revlon color stay for oily/combo skin

Have your tried Phillips Milk of Magnesia? Yes the laxative! I have beyond oily skin and I found a couple of vids on youtube talking about this stuff for oily skin a while back. It has really helped my oily skin.

Try using this skin care brand called Exuviance. It is a little more expensive than some products but they have a whole line for oily skin. It works GREAT on me! Hope you try it.

I second using The Body Shop's Seaweed Maytifying Day Cream! It's so lightweight so your skin is nice and soft but it absorbs all oil! My fave moisturizer for days when my skin is a little extra oily. But yes it's very important to moisturize every day. The entire seaweed line helps to balance oil production.

Try using a moisturizing gel. Oily skin is usually dehydrated, which I why it produces so much oil. I like the one by Clinique , it really helped.

I use Enza Essentials. It has a whole system for people with oily skin and they are still able to moisturize and continue a daily routine while getting rid of the excess oil. I highly recommend it!

Im a licensed esthetician. You really need to moisturize, even with oily skin. I agree with regular exfoliation and a light moisturizer ... The Clinique dramatically different moisturizer gel (they make this in 2 formulas, cream and a gel, so make sure to grab the right one) it's inexpensive and is a fave of mine. I also have oily skin and one thing that is helping is a retin-A cream. Retin A has been a miracle for me. It's drying up the oil, clearing up any acne, fades discoloration and dark spots, and helps with aging and wrinkles. It does it all! One very important thing... You must wear sunscreen daily when using Retin A...but really, sunscreen should be part of your routine either way.

I use Lush's Dark Angel's cleanser. It contains charcoal which acts to suck up any excess oil, and leaves you with a more balanced feeling. You can also get oil free moisturizers, but you shouldn't skip a moisturizer as if your skin gets too dry, it will just overcompensate and create more oil. I also use the night cream from No7 Beautiful Skin created for normal/oily skin, and it doesn't leave me oily at all.

Niki is correct! I'm an esthetician! And if you skip moisturizer your skin will just produce more and more oil! You need to find the right one for your skin type. Try one with tea tree! Dermalogica has a great oil absorbing lotion! Try that! But don't skip the moisturizer! Enza essentials is good too! Also exfoliate regularly so that your skin can soak up the products! U can use simple baking soda after you cleanse while skin is still wet. It will form a paste! It works EXCELLENT!! Very cleansing and not harsh!

I have oily skin too and I found that if u use an oil free moisturizer it does help a lot. I always thought moisturizers made it worse but in all reality yer glands are working overtime to produce oil TO moisturizer yer skin, so if u use a maoisturizer regularly they don't produce as much oil. I use clean and clear. And I have sensitive skin so it's not so harsh
