Which shoes are better and what's the difference?? Vans or Converse?

I think converse are more popular. They're also known as chuck Taylor's. Vans are more for skating I think. They're also popular though.

I personally like vans better but I do really like converse too. Uhm there isn't really much of a difference either. Sorry if that didn't help.
