So recently, I got hired as a seasonal cast member at my local Sephora. (YAY!) First of all, I love my job and everyone I work with and I'm extremely thankful that I got hired!
Anyway, on to the question...
For our employee discounts, I know it's 40% off of Sephora brand products and 20% off for everything else, but is that per ITEM or per purchase? I'm guessing it's 20 or 40% off your entire purchase, but my store director did not specify. I know I should ask her, but I'm making a Sephora Christmas list for myself and I wanted to pick up some items later tonight after my shift is over. :)
Also, do any of you have any tips for me as far as working here as a seasonal employee goes? I would really love to stay permanently, because I truly adore my job! I'm doing very well, and I've actually gotten a lot of compliments from many of the store leads and my managers. Any way I can really "wow" them in particular? :)
Thanks in advance! ♥

I never worked at sephora but I guess per item, since you can buy sephora products and other products at the same time.

It doesn't matter. If you get 20% off per item, and you ring up an entire basket of non-Sephora Brand items, then it equates to having 20% off of your entire purchase. I assume that if you buy a Sephora product or two as well, then those individual items will be discounted 40%. Does that make sense?

^^yeah hannah is right it doest matter its all the same. In tearms of staying longer I would say show your undying passion for your job, and be the best cashier or color artist you can be. They do ask permanent employees how we feel about seasonals before they decide to keep them or not so make sure you get along with everyone the best you can. If there's room go above and beyone. Having a flexible schedual also helps! But I can stress enough that PASSION is key! And I know it can be hard sometimes cause people are Cray lol but yeah(: good luck!

That's actually wrong. If you do the math (sorry, nerding out here!) you would save money getting the 40% off per item, which is what I'm assuming you're going to be getting. I work at Ulta and we get 25% off of everything.
Congrats on the job though!!
