So I toned my hair with a demi-perm toner yesterday, and to keep up the color I was wondering if putting some toner into conditioner and using that when I shower would work?
Or would I have to mix in the developing cream aswell? Or what...
Because the color faded so fast last time. -.-

I'm not sure about that but you can buy toning shampoo from Sally's for blonde hair if that's what your using it for.

Try not to wash your hair as long as you can go after coloring

Mm... I guess it won,t give you to much. Try a semi ( different from demi) permanent color this way-> after washing hair, put in ship cold water and add abvout one table spoon of semipermanent, disolve it with hand and just rinse your hair in it.:-)

I doubt it would work well without the developer. I would just go buy a toning shampoo/conditioner, you never know how the chemicals will react to each other.

It won't work without the developer, if you shower right away after you get your hair done t won't last as long go 2 days without washing your hair after getting it done and then when you do wash it get a purple shampoo or blonde cream shampoo and conditioner those are your best bet, toner only does so much then it just looks horrible if you use to much.

Get a toning shampoo and conditioner, exposing yourself to those chemicals constantly isn't good for your hair or scalp and can cause you to develop an allergic reaction to haircolor. For what you need a toning shampoo and conditioner will be your best option. It's made specifically for what you are wanting and works better than mixing haircolor with something. But if you must do this, use semi permanent like Diana said. It normally does not have the chemicals that cause haircolor allergic reactions in it and it also does not contain ammonia and is not mixed with hydrogen peroxide developers so you aren't exposing yourself to some of the harsher chemicals invovled in haircolor.

Thank you ladies! I'll just steer clear of it all. The only thing that sucks is that I have to wash my hair almost everyday cause it gets so gross. I'll just look into dry shampoo and a toning shampoo and conditioner.
thanks again!

Dry shampoo works wonders if you have greasy hair.

You're welcome. And Tigi Bed Head Dirty secret dry shampoo. Smells good, works well, hair feels clean and soft and not super loaded down and gross with powder like a lot of other ones.
