Keep Mascara From Smudging

any thoughts on how to prevent mascara from giving me racoon eyes at the end of the day? I've tried a bunch of mascaras, including water proof. I sometimes think it smudges if my face is oily so I keep oil blotting papers, anti-shine creams, primer. but fail.

Maybe try putting less mascara on your bottom lashes or skip it altogether. Even with a lash primer I can still get smudging if it's a long day or I'm wearing a wetter formula, so I just skip it most days.

Take a translucent powder (I love MUFE hd loose powder) and dust it all over your eyes. I like to do this to get it to stay all day: Apply mascara, powder, mascara.

Use too faced shadow insurance it had a built I anti persperant even if u use waterproof mascara if u have oily eyelids the oil will cause ur mascara it eye liner to still smudge with the eye primer it will control the oil on the lids and help stop smudging it's invisible so u can use it even if ur not usin eye shadow

I use boots no7 mascara, all of them are smudge proof but not waterproof, I put it on and even through my sweatiest humid days and workout and allergies it doesn't budge! Love their mascara it's sold at target

I have the raccoon eyes problem too. Too much mascara or wet mascara and I look like I slept in makeup last night! I let my face powder and eyeshadow 'accidentally' dust my eyelashes. It gives the mascara something to hold on to.

Currently I'm using Covergirl LashBlast Water Resistant mascara (in the yellow bottle http://www.covergirl.com/lashblast-length-water-resistant-mascara). A mascara that finally stays put! But I only found this brand after purchasing dozens of other tubes, both high end and drug store. Try to get samples of the high end formulas when you can. Swatch a tube at the store, walk around for the day, and later see if you have raccoon eyes.

I'm having same raccoon eye issues...I've bought so many mascaras and the best one but not perfect thus far is the megaplush in aqua tube...I can remember if its loreal or another brand...bit I'm still searching for a better mascara..this one does give me some raccoony under eyes..I do prime my face ans lids so its not that...I maybe just to oily skinned.

Most lash primer thickens, lengthens & plumb but only a small hand amount make the mascara stay all day, just go to a good Makeup store and ask... Trust me they will help you the most.
