Last night I dyed my hair with semi permanent dye but it didn't do much to my hair can I dye it tomorrow with a permanent color? Have any of you done this? Thanks!

If you have just done the semi colour within the last week or two, your permanent colour might fade a bit or a lot depending on what colour you chose. waiting a few weeks or stripping some of the semi out with a clarifying shampoo over the next few days will help. and if you are going lighter, you'll have to get a stripping kit first. be careful, damage can easily happen with stripping kits! good luck!

I just re-read your post. definitely strip with clarifying shampoo say every 12 hours for the next 36 hours. put coconut oil on your hair for at least 1 hour and then put your permanent dye on top. the coconut oil with help with the dryness that comes after using clarifying shampoo and will protect your hair from the dye.

Yes you can.. I do and many of my sisters clients do as well. Google it. works well for bleach washing too. I know it sounds strange. it does work and well...

In Brazil, things may be different. it works well for us. I was not intending to be rude or mean, just helpful.. just because another country does things another way, that does not make it wrong. it may be "absurd" to you, but we have been doing this for many years. best of luck Megan, no matter what you decide and what works out for you.
