I'd say as with any piercing it's just going to take time to get used to. It's going to be tender at first but usually until you get used to it being there you're going to snag it. I'd say give it some time and you'll most likely get used to it being there and subconsciously watch out for it

Just eat slowly. When I got mines done I had eat eat very slow and chew slow. Because it hurt like crazy.

Trust me it will swell up for now just eat cold stuff like Popsicles. I got 2 piercings on my tongue on the same day and the swelling was intense!

My swelling was terrible it started around the second to the fourth.day and lasted about.2 Weeks. you just have to get used to having something in your mouth lol I kept biting my bar. when you eat pay attention think I bit down on my tongue a few times after it swelled up.

You'll get use to it. When I had mine pierced, it swelled up immediately yet I ate McDonalds a few hours later. You have to eat on the side of your mouth so it doesn't hurt. Try soft foods like mashed potatoes & cold things like crushed ice or ice pops. Once the swelling goes down & you change the bar your eating goes back to normal. I took mines out almost 2 years ago but I still want it again.
