Can You Make Yourself Pale?

Can you?
I've been really big on tanning the last few years. My natural MAC color is about an NC35-37. I got so dark this summer that I was an NC45. Now my tan has faded but I'm stuck at an NC40.
Anyway, I'm over the tanning phase. I've been so fascinated with pale skin lately and I really love Megan Fox's look of a thin structured brow with light eye makeup and pretty pale skin. I usually go for the heavy Kim K tan look.
So, is there a way I can somewhat lighten up my complexion? I don't want to skin bleach, lol. I just want to lose my "permanent" tan.

Exfoliating will help fade the tan. Be sure not to exfoliate too often though; over exfoliation is bad for your skin!

I wish I had your problem lol. I'm so fair skinned that the lightest shades of makeup are usually still too dark for me! But I agree with Katrina about exfoliating. I've also heard that lemon juice lightens skin.

It was actually natural tanning. I would cover myself with tanning oil and lay in the sun for 1-2 hours almost every day. I went the beach for a week and would lay out for hours each day. God forbid but I'm shocked I don't have skin cancer.
And Taylor, embrace your fair skin!! I'm so jealous.

Also along with exfoliating, wear sunscreen everywhere! It'll help prevent you getting any darker. Even wear it inside of your house, because the sun shines through your window.

What is your ethnicity? Are you naturally more tan-skinned? If so then you can't go lighter. Only darker.

Otherwise you'll have to jut wait for the tan to fade. Like everyone said, use sunscreen. I'd say just use a moisturizer with lots of SPF and then maybe a regular heavy duty skin lotion that has SPF in it- you don't want to use regular sunscreen and walk around with that smell lol.

I'm biracial, my mother is Puerto Rican and my father is black. I'll definitely try out the sunscreen everywhere idea, an also exfoliate some more. Hopefully this tan will go away. Never laying out in the sun again!!
