If you're wanting to do it from home Loreal Feria has a really pretty chocolate cherry color and you wouldn't have to worry about it fading with your darker base color.

Use loreal hi color for dark hair. It's got a range of beautiful reds from fire engine red to dark subtle reds. Just make sure to get a few extra boxes, it's got less in it then it looks. You use developer with it (I recommend a 20 for less damage) and it lifts color out while putting in the new color. It's got really beautiful colors and it's easy to do yourself at home. :)

I agree loreal hi color for dark hair. I used it with a 30 developer because my hair is naturally sooo black and I colored it a lot. Loreal hicolor actually worked, like it really made my hair red! Finally! Haha
After you color it make sure to not shower for atleast 3 days so it won't fade. I recommend using loreal ever pure sulfate free system for colored hair because its less damaging as well as a preservant and my red seems to last pretty well now. Also, use argan or moroccan oil after you wash it the dye just to help retain moisture. Good luck :)
