I'm interested in trying a BB or CC Cream. So, first I would like to know which is better BB or CC creams as far natural coverage goes? Secondly, I would like to know what are your favorite brands of BB or CC Creams.

It depends on what you're looking for. BB creams are like a tinted moisturizer that have an spf, moisturizer, etc. CC creams colour correctors. So it's for people who want to even out redness or hide certain imperfections. American BB and CC creams are pretty much the same thing. BB creams generally give a lighter coverage than CC creams but it all depends on the brand. They are not meant to give heavy coverage. I've heard that Garnier BB cream is really good, and for a bit more coverage I heard that Clinique's CC cream is very good.

Yes the Asian BB and CC creams are waaay better. American BB and CC creams are basically just knock-offs and are pretty much just tinted moisturizers with no added benefits. Asian brands are where BB creams started and they use things that are high in anti-oxidants and different things that are much better for your skin. I suggest checking out Holika Holika and Etude House. Etdude House has one called "Precious Minerals BB cream "cotton fit" which I have heard is absolutely amazing. I haven't tried it yet but I'm going to Korea in December and I'm going to be picking it up.

Thanks a lot for the info! I have found that a lot of foreign beauty products are ways better than American. Some of the prices are higher but for the quality that you get I would say that it more than worth it. Once again thanks! I’ll make sure to look into the products. O, and have fun in Korea!

I was using garnier for a while and I liked it, it was just a little too oily for me. I went to sephora and got a sample of the 2 faced bb cream and hooooooly moly this stuff is so wonderful, it feel like you aren't wearing makeup but the coverage is so nice and looks super natural :)

I have acne prone skin so I cannot use products that have too much oil. So I probably can’t use the Garnier. Which sucks because I have read a lot of good reviews. The product you’re talking about sounds good but I do not have a Sephora near me… I think I the closest one is in Austin or Dallas and I hardly ever go to either them. And I don’t like to shop for foundations or creams online because it’s a lot harder to match my colors. Is there anywhere I can get it?

I believe Garnier has one for oily skin, but I do agree I find a lot of bb creams make you oily. I have oily skin and I've always find that they make my skin look shiny.

And no problem! (:

That is because bb creams are supposed to be moisturizing and with the spf there is no way to get around the dewey finish without powder to set it - anyways I personally prefer american bbs to asian because most asian ones are made for fair skin who want skin whitening agents - if you have more color to your skintone american ones are a better choice and they have many skincare benefits including anti-aging and evening skintone with the cc creams - and there are some that are more medium coverage like tarte and bobbi brown - but for acne prone skin these are my fave bbs: tarte, clinique, boscia, bobbi brown; for ccs I like clinique, lorac, and yes to grapefruit is a great natural drugstore brand and the garnier oil free is okay too for acne prone skin if you are on a budget - but by far tarte is my favorite - its more natural so doesn't break me out, makes my pores look smaller, has a more medium coverage with a more matte finish and really lasts 12+ hours like it claims to - especially when combined with the tarte smooth oprator setting powder - they are a great pair :) hope that helps!

And if you don't have sephora is there an ULTA store near you? or sally's beauty supply? they might sell the stuff I mentioned - for sure ulta does - otherwise garnier and yes to grapefruit are drugstore brands you can find at any drugstore like target or walmart or walgreens.
