Just make absolutely sure that you never leave the house without sunscreen. There are facial lotions, makeup and BB/CC creams that all have really amazing SPF in them. That will make the most difference. The amount of natural light we get on a daily basis without even realizing it would amaze you

Exfoliate regularly, don't get much prolonged sun contact; always wear sunscreen year-round (sunlight coming through windows will affect you). When you are outdoors, wear sunscreen and cover as much skin as possible too. Common sense stuff, sorry if you were looking for more.
I am very pale; but that's where my skin settles naturally. I personally love pallor. :) But embrace whatever you have naturally! That's what I think is beautiful!
Plus I think 99% of skin whitening/lightening treatments (that are successful in truly bleaching the skin) are extreeeeeemely harmful.

It's not good for skin, but... medicinal alcohol erase the tan. But I wouldn't advice you to use any whitening things, better try to color your hair darker it will give you illusion of a lighter skin:-)

I put lemon juice in my baths to get rid of dark spots, I only do it once or twice a month though. It gets rid of all my dark spots and I think it might make me a bit more pale. But make sure you moisturize after and wear SPF because your skin is sensitive after.
