Hi everyone!
I recently started using blush after receiving a free sample with my Clinique purchase. I don't contour but I use the blush and highlighter. The blush color is in `Fig` which is kind of a pinkish brown color. I love wearing Estee Lauder`s `Shimmery Pink` lipstick (a bold pink-red color), it's the only lipstick I think looks good on me. Anyway, I was wondering would blush and a bold lipstick look bad on pale skin? I am only wearing mascara and want to try this look but I don't want to overdo the makeup.
Also, being a grad student and all, do you think this look would be too much in a classroom setting?
Thank you! :)

I don't think it'd be too much as long as it's not a thick blush (like clown-overdone). The only way to find out though is to try it when you're at home. You can always wash it off. And I think it wouldn't be too much for class. I wear bold lipsticks to class all the time, it's my go to look. But it's up to you, if you feel comfortable, go for it. :)

I think a rose or peach blush looks good on pale skin, light application. I'm pale and I like how I look when I use it.

Thank you everyone! I guess my initial question is how to match blush and lipstick colors. I didn't know if pink blush and pink lipstick is too much. By the way, Aleighnna, you are gorgeous! You can really pull this look off! :)

I wear blush with every look. I use benefit dandelion as my daily go to and it really compliments warmer or cooler colors because it's very natural looking. I'm pale also. I have cool undertones so I stick to cooler lips and my "warm" is more neutral. You can wear pink blush and pink lip just make sure the blush is not thick or too bright. Just a light sweep of color. I think lip color can be as bold as you're comfortable with and just keep the blush light on pail skin. Blush lasts me forever!

That makes sense! I'll try to go light on the blush, and maybe invest in a more neutral color? Thanks Mary! =)
