So I thought I'll put myself out there and take the most brutal pic of myself sans make up.
I never put much on, mascara, lippy and bronzer however, I feel I need to start making more of an effort.
So, if you were me, buying makeup from scratch, what would you buy?

Eyeliner is always a good start. Just a thin line across the lashes (think Miley Cyrus in her wrecking ball video) adds such a pop to all eye colors. You have amazing eyebrows already but you could start filling them in for a more striking look. But really, just experiment with eyeshadows and liner till you find something you like :) bold lipsticks are always good too. It's super easy in the morning to just put mascara and lipstick on. You have beautiful big lips so you could rock almost any light or dark shade.
What I would do if I were you, watch some beginners makeup tutorials on YouTube and see what works for you. That's what I did when I first started out.

You're all so sweet! I'm from Australia so some of the brands mentioned we don't have but I think I'm getting some good ideas. As you can see, I have quite visible dark circles under my eyes, do you think I'm better off just using foundation to cover it or should I use something in particular?
Also, how do I choose a powder? One that matches my skin tone or the foundation?

Lizz that is absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm terrified of doing winged liner as I find I can't make it symmetrical.
I think I'm going to have to bookmark YouTube as a favourite.
