I like to spray it all through my hair. Then put a little on a brush and comb my hair.!

^ she's right. But heat protectant isn't a miracle product. It's just to coat your hair shaft so when the hot tool gets applied, it will be burning your product and not the hair. It doesn't take long for 300+ degrees to get through that coating. To combat damage, you have to do hair treatments and deep conditioning to penetrate the hair shaft (not just cover it)

I spray it in sections, little by little. I take a piece of hair, spray it, straighten it, then go to the next piece and repeat. It's kinda time consuming but I feel like I miss way too much hair when I just spray it all over.
But like Symone said, it's not a miracle product. It will definitely help some, but if you use heat on your hair too often it will still get damaged.
