Any organic coconut oil will do. You basically just massage it into your skin or hair. It can be used on rough patches of skin to make them soft...people use it on their face and some claim that it really hydrates their skin and makes their face clear. Others claim it breaks them out. It depends on he person so you should test it out. You can massage it into your hair as well to use as a hair mask. A little goes a long way so don't get carried away with the amount and you should wash it out after a few hours. Never go a whole day without washing it out it'll make your hair appear very greasy and start to smell. You can use it to take fly aways or even add a couple drops to hair dye because the added moisture supposedly protects your hair from the harsh chemicals. It has also been said to improve hair growth. It can be used for a ton of different things.

I'm going to inject here and say not washing it depends on your hair type. I never wash it out of my hair unless I'm using it in a hair mask. Other then that it stays in my hair all day and I reapply as needed throughout the week, normally it's after I moisturize as oil is a sealant, not a moisturizer (so it seals moisture in).

But you can use it to detangle your hair by putting it in and letting it sit for a good 15 minutes (I put a shower cap on when I do this), I use it as a makeup remover as well. Just put in on my face, rest a warm/hot wash cloth over it (this is optional), and just wipe. I so notice that when I put the wash cloth on my skin feels super soft and smooth the next morning, and a tad bit brighter.

Coconut oil does not work for all! It is a protein and your hair is also protein, to much (depending on your hair) and your hair may not like it. If that's the case, listen to your hair and stop using it. Sometimes it depends on how you apply it. Some girls like to use it when their hair is wet, others when it's dry, and some (like me) do both.

Like all oils. not all coconut oil is created equal. as far as organic goes, you want to make sure its usda certified. also it should be cold pressed. this means that the oil was extracted without any heat therefore creating a higher quality oil. to ensure it is pure coconut oil you must read the ingredients. if there's anything besides organic coconut oil its not pure.

I made a video last week about coconut oil's different uses and the best type to use. Check it out! http://youtu.be/HctJbWrF92A.

I would suggest Nutiva brand. You want to get the organic, extra-virgin, cold-pressed, unrefined, pure 100% natural stuff. If you have any organic / health food stores around you, they probably sell it. Otherwise, Amazon has it and I believe you can get two large jars of it for about $15.00 (ish.)
