Go onto youtube and type in messy bun. there are a ton of videos that will help you get it right :-)

Basically what I do is I put it up like you normally would, then pull on it to make it larger, then bobby pin the crap out if it till every thing is right where I want it. Works like a charm :)

Don't look in a mirror while pulling it up to give the messy effect, then once that is finished look in the mirror and bobby pin and hairspray until you like the way it looks!
