Hiya! Okay this summer I happened to get stretch marks...while I wore jeans the whole time, other girls walked around with highwaisted shorts. I have tried so much and I'm starting to lose hope, I've been bullied a lot and lost a lot of confidence and this just makes me feel worse. I'm 13, and this year at spring break we go on our 8th grade trip...and we will be going to the beach for 4 days. I want to be able to have fun and wear shorts and a swimsuit but the stretch marks hold me back. They haven't gone silver yet but it's halfway there...they are kinda darkish pink. With tiny silver lines in the middle, I have them on my thighs and hips. I would really appreciate help. :)

They make palmers cocoa butter for stretch marks try using it daily it might not get rid of them but help fade them that way you feel more comfortable...btw don't let what ppl say bother you...everyone is beautiful in their own way...even the girls you think are flawless have flaws...always remember no one is perfect...never let anyone make you feel uncomfortable in your own skin

There's no magic potion for stretch marks but there are products available to camoflauge them such as Mederma, bio-oil, vitamin E, etc. For a immediate solution, Sally Hansen "Airbrush Legs" can camouflage as well but if your getting in the water that may not he a great option.
There are many really pretty and stylish cover-ups that you can throw over a bathing suit/shorts and look fabulous.
Just remember that being confident and picking up for yourself drives bullys away. Don't let them intimidate and define you.
You're so young you shouldnt have to think about whether you can wear a pair of shorts or not. Wear what makes you feel good, don't worry about what other people are saying or wearing and enjoy your trip.

How far down do the stretch marks come? I developed them in the last year. I've had 3 kids, barely a stretch mark! I go on a medication that makes me gain 40lbs in a year and get a real killer set down my legs. Anyway, I wear boy shorts and they hit so the worst of the marks are covered, then I use Jergens tanning daily moisturizer during the summer and it helps camouflage them. I also use a shimmer lotion when I go to the pool, if I get in it's gone obviously, but until then it makes me feel better. I also have a longer cover-up.
Seriously though, you're so young, try not to worry so much. Don't let people give you a hard time. I know easier said than done, but everyone and I mean everyone has insecurities at your age.

Omg, we are in the same exact situation! I am 13 and I got strech marks from wearing jeans too! I have tried lots of stuff, but sadly, nothing works : ( At least you are not alone and I thought that there was nobody else in tbe same situation as me and now it feels a lot better to know that somebody my age is in the same situation : ) Hood luck and if you find something that works, let me know please!

You can't get stretch marks from wearing jeans...stretch marks happen when your skin expands and your body can't handle it...it also happens when your weight fluctuates constantly.

I had AWFUL stretch marks from Pregnancy. My entire lower belly was covered. I used Strivectin and was SO impressed. They are basically gone!! Only small indents but no color whatsoever. It's pricey but worth it.

I was 11 when stretch marks first showed up on my stomach and hips. I was also very self conscious of them. I wore longer shorts to the beach and had a one piece swim suit. I ended up with the stretch marks because I grew faster then my body could accommodate for. (6 inches in 6 months) over the years, I have spent a crazy amount of time picking out bathing suits to hide them. only to see other girls on the beach with stretch marks too. they will fade, it takes about a year in total, unless you are still rapidly growing. to think I spent all those years covering up when they are a normal part of life at some point
I'm sorry you are dealing with this so young. be confident in who you are, not in what you think you might look like. here's a secret; I model, and although they have ways to airbrush out stretch marks, the point is I have them. don't let them stop you. don't hide like I did. anyone who says boo, isn't your friend or doesn't understand. and moisturizing does help! good luck sweetie.

PS. I now wear tasteful bikinis and my friends say they can barely see the stretch marks. sometimes they appear bigger to us when no one else even notices them. it will happen for you too.

There is no way to get rid of them...creams can lighten them but they are still visible...when you get older you can get laser surgery.

I got a couple stretch marks on the the lower part of my tummy when I was pregnant. I used bio oil religiously twice a day and then Mederma for stretch marks once a day. For about 6 months and they faded. You can still see the indentation but they are colorless. Although I've been told by my other mommy friends that this would have happened on its own without all my creams! But the creams made me feel better mentally if that makes any sense!.

The most important thing about stretch marks is that they will fade- I promise. And no one notices them like you do. We are our own worst critics. In the meantime, do creams and if you want to camouflage, self tanner. Self tanner is like the empire waist of makeup. It hides a multitude of sins :)
