Opinions on Cortex flat irons?

Has anyone used a Cortex flat iron? I heard they were comparable to the chi, because they are made by the same brand. Or if you know of any good inexpensively flat irons, please share! If you can please post a before and after pic, that would be great!

Had one. Hate it. It burns your hair. But I have extremely fine hair and I even had it turned way down.

I love my chi... Tried the baby bliss and hated it... Never changing from chi... Just consider it an investment

Infiniti wasn't to bad, I found it to be much like the chi. I don't straighten anymore, but here is an old pic... keep in mind, my hair is crazy, curly, frizzy without product or straightening...

I've had my cortex for two years now and I love it. I haven't had any issues with it burning my hair with half decent heat shield.
