I agree with you that it washes you a lil, maybe instead of black try a mocca brown like Kim K, you remind me of her. It's still dark but more classy than black/ on my taste:-)

Splat hair dyes are the most pigmented of any brand I've used! They have novelty colors but they also have a VERY dark & highly pigmented called "Jet Black" I hope this helps!

Manic panic has a semi permanent black, I've used it a few times. It washes out after a few weeks/months depending on your hair type but it's very very pigmented and it lasted 5 months for me. But it can be removed with vitamin c tablets.

I would definitely go with the darkest brown you can find, it will be less harsh and/or damaging on your hair than the black. For department store color, I use Loreal Feria, or Loreal Excellence. Both are very pigmented and shiny. Be sure to follow up with a deep conditioner, such as Satin Reconstruct ($10 at Sally's) or Vidal Sasson's Deep Conditioner in a jar ($4 at Walmart.) Also, be sure to invest in a color maintenance shampoo and conditioner. My favorite is John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette. Hopefully this helped you! Be sure to post a picture when you've colored :)

Diana, manic panic comes in pretty much every unnatural shade available. Unfortunately they don't have blondes or browns that are semi permanent. But they have all sorts of reds, blues, greens, silvers, purples and everything in between lol.

Only do it if you are sure you want to stay black for a while. It is very difficult to remove dark color from the hair. I wouldn't suggest black either, darker brown is better. If you can, find a Licensed professional to perform this.

Do a demi permanent level one.. it may be fading BC you are like a level 5 and you are going up more then 4 shades. I'd try the level 1 + 9 volume (or 10v) black demi on your hair now. If it fades out really fast then go and get a level 3 demi + 9volume (or 10v) use that then deep condition then do the 1 formula again
