Long problem with multiple hair dye! help please :)

A year ago I dyed my hair blonde.. I didn't like the color so I darkened it using L'oreal casting creme gloss which is a demi-permanent dye. Every time it started to fade out to the blond permanent color I dyed it over. Now I am bored of the dark color and wanna have a dark blond one. Should I bleach it? If so will the blonder remove the demi-permanent dye only or both and how long should I leave it?
