If you want to avoid heat try to braid your hair over night then use hair spray to set it and then sleep it should look tousled/ wavy in a natural way in the morning. Hoped this help lucca.

I used to have a problem with my hair looking dull but I got long layers and it definitely made a change. If you don't want to cut your hair then try the braid technique or use really big barrel for curls and finger comb. I hope I helped.
