I have a mia with a normal brush but I recommend you start with the gentle brush at first.

I have the mia in pink and yes it did purge a lil bit at first but I think you need to find the perfect brush for you skin too! I've tried the normal, sensitive and acne prone one and found that the normal one was perfect with me! And for cleanser I'd say my favorite one that really match with my clarisonic was the ole henriksen the african red thea one and the bioderma for oily skin! Those works wonder together but you will have to try it yourself to find the match that works with your skin type! I've put a pic of the bioderma one but I finished my ole so I couldnt show you but you can find it in sephora!

You can also YouTube videos on it n see how ppl use it with specific products n figure out what regime works for you. It's best to do as much research as possible prior to purchasing.

I bought one a year ago... And it recently stopped working... So I'm not sure how dependable it is on performance. I loved mine when it worked!

Ya you might want to start with gentler brush if your face isn't that bad. I started with the softest and went all the way to the deep pore brushes for a while then back to the acne brush and it's just right for me for now. The only time I ever have problems is if I haven't been cleaning and drying my brush head or it needs to be changed. Some dupes I've seen you don't even change the brush head ever.

The clear sonic is perfect for non-sensitive and durable skin but for sensitive skin it will stop your face of all the oils and am might even caus an allergic reaction

It cleanses way deeper than just your hands, and yes that can help clear up acne. BUT it's really important to know that acne happens for a lot of different reasons. It could be genetic or hormonal and while having a clean face can help it, reduce it or get rid of it completely depending on the cause, I wouldn't say the Clarisonic is a cure all for acne. Acne is a pretty complex issue and it's really not even fully understood what causes it yet. A Clarisonic might help, it might not. I have had acne since age 12 and while I do LOVE my Clarisonic and don't regret buying it ever, but it hasn't cured my acne. It certainly has made dealing with it easier and it goes away faster but it is not a cure for me personally. I have underlying issues, whether it be hormonal or genetic (probably genetic, my father had it and grew out of it eventually) I'm finding out. Also, not many people know just how much our diet affects our skin. The Western diet is killing our skin. We are consuming so many things that wreak havoc on our skin and it's very sad that many doctors still won't acknowledge this or they aren't being taught about this link. Anyway, I've strayed a little here lol. But basically, I just want you to know each side here. It can help with overall skin health but it may not cure acne. I think it's a great investment though and that you should definitely give it a try. I wouldn't go with a dupe. They definitely do not do the same thing the Clarisonic does and could possibly damage the skin. They are probably the best option out there and when it comes to your skin you should aim for the best. And to address the issue of it being too harsh. It just depends on what your skin can handle. Usually I use mine twice a day and my skin feels fine. Some days my skin is more senstive and I only use it once. It really depends on you and your skin. Everyone is different. The only way you'll know what works and what doesn't is to try different things.

@. It's definitely not milia. It's not pimples I have with heads. Its just really fine acne. I have this weird thing about drinking lol. I just don't like drinking liquids period. I never drink soda or juice and I don't like water. I only drink like 2 bottles a day. More if I'm lucky. It's so strange and unhealthy but I know it's a big factor (can't be my diet because I'm vegetarian)

@ Everyone. This is such great advice! I'm so excited and appreciative you guys answered. I'm definitely going to order one as a gift to myself on Christmas. Hopefully this works (going to start drinking water too 😔)

Ohh hun you have to drink more water toxins will build up in your system and that can definitely cause breakouts as well as dehydration.

No problem! :) I've struggled with acne for years now and I'm recently just starting to see improvements (within the last year or so) and I'm learning that taking care of the rest of your body will definitely help the skin look and feel better. On that note, I agree with drinking more water. I'm awful about it too though lol. But I've been getting better about it. I got a fancy (kind of lol it's not expensive) water bottle with a filter so I can have water everywhere and it will taste better and I use an app called Hydro. I have an Android phone so it might not be on Apple if you have an iPhone. But basically it's just an app that reminds you to drink water and let's you keep track of how much you drink. They may have the same one or they'll have something similar I'm sure. There are still days when I fall way below my goal but it's really helped. I've also made water the only thing I drink throughout the day aside from my morning coffee and occasionally tea or something else once or twice a week. You can't deprive yourself but you also can't be excessive and it can be hard finding a balance at first lol.

I own a clarisonic Mia 2. I use it with my philosophy face wash and my skin is so smooth and it clears up in a day or two. Love love love it!! And it's a purple zebra style.
