I've been looking into getting a Clarisonic. I've always had very fine acne. Not too noticeable. I want to get rid of it though. Does the Clarisonic seriously work?
It's a bit on the expensive side, any good dupes?

Yess it works the sonic action cleanse way deeper than your fingers ever could I recommend it to all my clients it also gently exfoliates your skin daily which is the best thing for your skin.

I brought it to get rid of my acne, and too clean my face, But defentlty not worth it, it kept expanded by acne even more, it caused me to break out so much more than ever, the Clarisonic is met to bring out the dirty bacteria from inside your skin and the acne for about 3 weeks, I used mine for about 3 month and got even worse. So I stopped using the clarisonic, let my face cool down, the only thing I did was moistures my face and drink lots of water with lemon inside, and defentlty seen changes, drink lots of water! not only to get rid of acne but for a more flawless skin.
But that's just me, everyone faces are different

@Traci, What's different about a sonic brush?
@Mariam, oh no! I don't wanna go through that. Makes me wonder about this.

Using harsh products on the face can cause break outs, clarisonic is not that harsh, but if you constantly keep on using it (Like everyday, morning and night) It Can cause breakouts, doctors do reviews about the Clarisonic and it is true for people who are acne prone, just trying to help, clarisonic doesn't really work for a lot of people, especially for acne prone skin types. I started using it when I had little not noticeable acne, now they are noticeable

Sonic is using sound vibration to move water particles around in your skin just like a sonic toothbrush cleanse your teeth better a sonic face brush shakes dirt and sebum out of your pores a rotary brush is just scrubbing over the surface.

The Clarisonic works on me and I have acne prone skin. I was even on accutane at one point in my life. But I don't use my sonic daily. I use it once a week and I can see the difference in my skin when I use it. It also matters what product you use with it. You should not pair it with other exfoliating products becuz the Clarisonic is already exfoliating the skin. I personally use the cetaphil cleanser with n it does wonders on my skin!

Mine finally arrived today!!
I also have been looking into it for months, then I started work at sephora and talked to sooo many customers in literally just 2 weeks that rave on and on about it at the register. So I decided to get it. I got the plus for face and body because I also have random imperfections and dark spots on my shoulder and upper back.
I'm going to use it tomorrow and will definitely message you and keep you posted symone by next week! :)

And Mariam I work in a medical spa with dermatologist and lots of people use a clarisonic with great results because you had bad results from it does not mean that's the majority

And I use mine once a day you do what your skin can tolerate.

I have the clarisonic for maybe a year or two and when I got it I used to have some acne (not the extreme case but still moderate). And since then I use one time per day for my night routine and I really think it helped me! Of course it is not a magic tool that is going to make everything perfect in one day but over time it does make a difference! This is my personal opinion but I think it does deserve to splurge on a clarisonic (:

It's sounds good. I hope it's not too good to be true. I have acne prone, really oily skin. I've been using eczema daily scrub ( it doesn't have microbeads, but tiny grains) would that me okay to use with the Clarisonic or should I use the eczemadeep cleansing cream (it's smooth)?
Nov 16, 2013
Traci L.
You really should just use a gentle cleanser no microbeads in it

A good dupe for the clarisonic is by olay. search up reviews on Youtube!

Traci L.
Go with the dupe and see if it works for you this way your not investing a lot

Have any of you ever experienced a purge with it? (Skin got worst before it got better)
Nov 16, 2013
Mallarie B.
Basically the Clarisonic is the best out there. Other brands that try and "dupe" it spin. Which is HORRIBLE for your skin. The clarisonic is sonic pulses. The best way to get it to work for you is to just try it out. Most people would think that if you break out more you need to clean deeper. When in actuality it's the opposite. Your skin will break out in reaction to being too rough. Keep using a softer brush head until you find one that doesn't irritate your face. Also don't use a cleanser with ANY sort of exfoliant in it. That'll just make things worse.

I 😍😻💚❤️my clarisonic! I've had it a few years. Had a little purge in the beginning. The only problem I ever have is if I don't wash my makeup first the brush head gets nasty quicker. And it must be changed every three mo or I start breaking out a little bit. When I go without it I can really tell.

Mary T.
I would say its worth it to just buy the clarisonic itself not a dupe.
Nov 16, 2013
Symone B.
@Mallarie, definitely appreciate your detailed answer! I definitely ruled out getting a dupe. Know what I want for Christmas 😍 @Mary @Lydia @Traci @Vickie, what model who you recommend?

The purge wasn't that bad either. Just look at all the bumps on your face, if you got em, they're all going to come out little by little. I had really clogged pores and it took a while to get smooth skin but for me it never got worse it just took a while to clear the gunk out. I use it twice a day and I have oily acne prone skin. Ok I'll shut up! I love this product.

No, Mary. I like your responses! Lol I definitely want to try the Clarisonic. I'm so tired of this acne I have! It's so small but it's all over. Drives me nuts lol
