Ok, this is my favorite topic since I (at 30 years old) FINALLY found a solution that works for me.
Wash my face with cetaphil daily cleanser
Tone
Lightly moisturizer with oil free moisturizer
Coat my oil prone areas with Milk of Magnesia lightly
Use Tarte face primer
Mufe matte velvet foundation
Now, my makeup stays on ALL day without a single touch up. And at the end of the day my face looks slightly dewy but not oily or greasy at all

No secrets here. You can't stop oily skin (its how your skin type is) but you can minimize it by using oil free products & blotting sheets. Always choose "matte" for face makeup. Drink lots of water & be glad you have oily skin rather then dry skin. My Dermatologist schooled me on all this, i have oily skin myself & these are the things i do to minimize the oil & it helps!

Yes!! Milk of Magnesia (I prefer Phillips original) is the secret shhhhhhh! I lightly pat my oily areas with it, allow it to dry, use my favorite primer (Lancóme LA base pro) and apply my foundation. I still set my foundation. I have EXTREMELY oily skin and this keeps me oil-free. With Phillips only costing around $5, what do you have to lose?

I use clinique 3 step for oily skin, I am 33 and a smoker so I guess having oily skin is a bit of a plus because I have not 1 wrinkle yet lol

If it is within your skin care, try clinique 3 step (#4) or Origins Zero Oil line to get your oil under control, along with using a Pore Refining mask/scrub/serum/gel. Color-wise, try a gel based primer or blotting powder or sheets. Or even a setting spray.

I had the same issue. I started using cetaphil (derma control line) oil control facial cleanser and moisturizer. Its helped out a lot. I use it twice a day. As far as a primer you can try out Laura Mercier Oil Free primer. Its a bit pricey (32 bucks).

Bare Minerals mineral veil is good, but also check out their Oil-Free Primer. It is so good for helping to control oil :) x

oily skin is usually a reaction to being dry. I wash with cetaphil, keep oil blotting papers on hand, put honey on as mask for 20 minutes at least once a week. it helps.
