Do eyelash curlers really make that much of a difference?

I've actually never used an eyelash curler! Does it really make a difference or is just mascara enough?

Not a really big difference ' but enough for you to actually see the difference. just don't curl them after you apply mascara it will break you lashes

Use the eyelash curler in pulses, and then invert it and do the same. Then put on your mascara. Wait till it dries (or it could rip out your eyelashes) and repeat!

If you wait for it to dry it won't break your lashes. I've been doing it for years

It will! It will make you look more awake by making your eyes appear wider. Plus it makes your eyelashes really long so there's no need for false lashes

Oh and curl your eyelashes before you put on mascara! Don't want to risk them snapping in half (it's rare but very possible) and always were waterproof mascara for long lasting curl. Watery mascaras make your curl drop faster

I'm not a fan. I find they look the same curled and not curled. So many of my friends, also my mom, damaged their eyelashes from using an eyelash curler. However, most of that was from improper use like curling AFTER mascara which is an absolute no. Either way, I don't think it's worth the risk. Unless your eyelashes are straight and point downward.

Oh my gosh they make ALL the difference! I am a little obsessed with my eyelash curler, because I curl my lashes at the base, middle, tips, then base again!

Depending on how your natural lashes are (both how naturally curled and texture) and if you know how to use it, than yes an eyelash curler can make a difference. On the rare occasion that I do curl mine (I have pretty nice lashes already so it is rare I decide to go for that extra curl), I do the pulsing like Mikayla said (I start at the base, hold it there for a bit then pulse it out). Like Mikayla said, curl first, than mascara, than if you want to curl again. Don't let the other girls scare you, if you do it properly there will be no breakage, just make sure you let the mascara dry first and don't just pull the curler away, shimmy it a little bit to make sure no lashes are stuck (if there are any stuck it'll shake them off) <also, I have gone to school for makeup and I was taught this there.

Yea they make a difference. The difference can be big or small depending on your natural lashes. My natural lashes are straight so I have to curl them for them to be noticed.

It works but only if you use them properly, they work really well for me :*
