Nov 14, 2013
You have to be a registered member that has spent a minimum of $350.

I don't think the points expire.

It's super easy to spend $350 tho so you'll be a VIB real quick.
for example, I bought a brush case (that apparently came with 6 brushes), UD Naked Skin powder & a pair of falsies & the total came to $130 >.< doesn't take long! lolol.

No, points don't expire. To be a VIB it's $350, to be a VIB Rouge it's $1000. It expires at the end of every calendar year, and VIB Rouge gets free shipping, free makeovers, free everything basically. Points have to do with how many dollars you spend in a trip. One dollar=one point. You can accumulate them like no one's business. For example, I never spend mine so last weekend at the sale I literally spent about 3000 points because I had them saved up.

Yep they don't ever expire (which is a huge reason I prefer Sephora over Ulta I think lol). And you get a gift on/near your birthday and can redeem them for stuff at the checkout. It is really easy to get 350 points though, especially if you buy stuff pretty consistently. I just hit VIB Rouge and I think I spent most of that thousand just over the summer when I was working lol. It's actually pretty bad because now that I get free shipping I just keep buying stuff haha. But at least I save some money on shipping. My advice is to try to only purchase online when you know you're going to have $50 or more worth of stuff. That way you get free shipping. Until I had free shipping I would try to hold off until I could get enough stuff to get it free and it seems like it helped me get to $350 faster.

Ok I'm still confused... I don't live in the states but I travel at least once a year and I'm a vib member...
you all mean being a vib expires after a year?
also, if I spend my points will I not be a vib member anymore? (because points under 350)?

In order to maintain VIB member status you have spend at least $350.00 every year. The points you accumulate really have no impact on your "status" to the best of my knowledge and they do not expire. Making purchases using points does not impact your member status it simply draws down from your points total. Just remember that member status is related to the amount of money you spend at Sephora each year. Hope that helps.
