My foundation looks great when I first put it on, but after a couple of hours the founndation seems to fade and build up around my nose (the oiliest part of my face).
I always prime my face with smashbox photo finish primer, then Revlon colorstay, then set it with rimmel stay matte powder
any suggestions on how to fix/avoid this problem?

Use oil blotting sheets throughout the day it removes the excess oil.

Use a matte primer that helps control oil. Sephora has a few that I saw last time I went.

I had this problem after I came home from holiday. I found moisturising my nose and putting foundation straight on top worked.
You could be using too much powder so go lighter on your nose area.
Lara suggested blotting sheets, definitely try these.

Try spot priming. Use a mattifying primer on your nose and use your smash box one around the rest of the face. Or use a mattifying powder on your nose instead of a setting powder. Setting powders do a little bit of oil absorption but it's really meant to set the makeup. Mattifying powders help control oil production.

Yup the blotting sheets should work, or just use a peeled layer or toilet paper! doesn't look so classy but it does the same thing! also I would recommend staying away from satin (dewy) finish foundations and stick with matte but you probably already knew that x
