Ask a professional to tone it afterwords and you'll have to use a toner still with professional or it'll turn orangey.

Go for gradual highlights it will take a while but your hair will be less damaged than putting bleach straight away, also you won't have your hair going orange and very damaged

I went from red to blonde and did it myself. I recommend a professional. I ended with a light shade of orange and chemical burns and now the hair salon won't touch my hair for at least a week. Good luck hun , I agree try doing it in stages with highlights.

Bleach it. I had very very black hair and had been dyeing it for about an year. I bleached it and then let my hair rest for a day then I bleached it again and then apply the hair color I did it my self and since then I've had blonde hair, it's kinda more ash. But your hair will get damaged but with treatment it'll get better, I used a lot if hair creams and stuff. This is the color I have right now.

Read a shit ton of bleach product reviews. Watch youtube videos. I went from black to blonde myself and spent 50 as opposed to hundreds.

Don't do it yourself. Depending on how dark your hair is it may need to be stripped before you go blonde.
