Hi I suffer from bad eczema, it only clears up if I use steroid cream which I don't like doing as it thins the skin. Does anyone suffer from it or know any good things to help clear it up, I use lots of prescription creams so I don't have perfumed moisturiser or shower gel. Any suggestions would be much appreciated
Thanks

Okay, I'm not saying this would work for you BUT. My cat has eczema as well. What I would do is put apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball and place in on his skin and it would clear it up in about 3 days. Obviously I'm saying this worked for my cat, but it certainly wouldn't hurt if you tried it?

I too suffer from eczema. I have it all over my ring finger and in between other fingers on my wrists, breasts, and eyelids. I think its in those places solely to annoy the shit out of me. I have tried 5he neosporin exzema essentials and it did nothing. For a fast itch relief I use gold bond ultimate healing lotion. I have yet to find something that actually clears it up.. even prescription stuff sucks.

I suffer from dermatitis, I know it's a bit different but here are some products that help me. I use coconut oil all over my body twice a day and it has cleared up scars and the appearance of dermatitis dramatically. Pure organic shea butter. I shower with all natural aloe and vitamin e soap, I use Aveeno Shampoo. Also try Emu Oil. It's very good for people with eczema.

Hydrocortisone doesn't touch my eczema I have to use a lot stronger steroids. I was looking for more natural things that people may have tried as I used steroid on my hand for years and the skin is very thin now, the doctors seem to be useless and hannah I find the same its in all the wrong places

Hydrocortisone doesn't work for me either. I can deal with the itching but mine looks gross and I don't like when peolle stare I have to tell them its not contagious. Between me and my husband (who has vitiligo) we can get some stares lol.

I've suffered with eczema all over for as long as I can remember and I've used Cetaphil cream as long as I can remember and it does wonders for me! I always apply it all over after I get out of the shower and it leaves my skin nice and soft. I'm sure you've probably heard this already but staying hydrated really helps and avoiding the heat and hot showers will really help too. I started using dove sensitive skin body wash recently and that didn't cause any irritation if you're looking for soap too. I can't recommend the cetaphil cream enough though, I live off that stuff.
