What foundation is it? And what kind of skin do you have (oily, combination, dry)?

I have oily skin and its the liquid dream mousse and I have sephora matte primer.

That is an awesome primer, I would definitely use that and also use a setting powder (for more of a matte look) or a setting spray.

That should probably make the foundation look less weird.

I would advise you to apply your foundation with a brush, as it leaves a more natural look :)
and use a brush with real hair, as they are more sensitive to the skin :)
