Okay so every mac lipstick I buy, I love in the store, but when I get home its way too pale/pastel. I need to find a better shade for my complexion. The only problem is that the only place near me to buy mac is an outlet store, so there's only about 12 colors to choose from, and I worry about buying online without suggestions. Any suggestions/swatches/pictures of colors? I'm looking for a pink color.

I suggest you to make your choise on a color but try it on day light.lipsticks may look soooo different with different skin tones.I am so pale I adore nude colors but its just not my color off.my stash is full of non used lipsticks.

When you're in the store swatch them on your skin then go near a window, or outside, into natural light. Different lipsticks look COMPLETELY different on different skin tones. The first time I went to MAC I spent $300+ on lipstick and eyeshadow. Ended up exchanging half of the lipsticks because they simply didn't work on me despite the fact they looks great on the girls on YouTube I had gotten then shade ideas from. I had to look up videos with girls my skin color trying on lipsticks to get good recommendations.
That or when you go into the store, ask someone who works there what color would look good on you.

On the Mac website, there's a live chat service - it's super helpful! I'm very pale and most lip colours don't suit me but the woman I talked to helped me find a perfect one.
