You should dye your hair brown. Any shade of brown would look nice on you.

If you do want to go blonde, probably go to a salon for it - a home job could result in bright yellow hair! Brown would look lovely though, especially a light one :)

Thanks everyone :)
I would rather go blonde as I' had brown hair for a long time before I dyed it bright colours in June. However if it's too risky I may go dark blonde/light brown just to be safe :) what would you all recommend?

I would do it a dark/dirty blonde or a lighter brown so the red doesnt fade through and make a funky color the get it lighter gradually til you find what suits you best yes you can over bleach fry you hair get split ins lots of breakage. They say 6 weeks is how long you should wait to dye your hair again

I have tried to go blonde from red and trust me it's not a good idea because it is just going to turn a peach color so I suggest a darker color

wow i guess it is really different for everyone, will I'm a live example..My hair was intense red and now I'm blonde!!! It took me 7 hours in a hair salon(yes 7 hours passed closing time) and 300$ (in canada) so if u are willing to pay and be patient and find a a good hair stylist you will make it happen just make sure you don't do it by yourself!!!!!!...your skin is exactly like mine and with light blonde( NOT platinum) you will be like an angel! very hot.

You would have to use a colour stripper like Color Oops or something, to get true blonde. If you bleach over orange/red it will just come out pink! Otherwise, I'd do a nice light brown maybe.

I did think about using a colour stripper as they say they don't remove bleach, I might have to talk to my hairdresser about this one :P

I had dyed my hair a dark brown (naturally I'm a blonde) and hated it. I left it for about a week, then I used a color stripper on my hair. I didn't have the money do the salon. After stripping it, I bought a neutral color blonde at Sally's, and re-dyed it back to the blonde. My profile picture is the end result and I love it. This may be a cheaper option for you, depending on how the red comes out of your hair. I also bought a hair mask afterwards because I definitely damaged my hair a bit with all this haha. Good luck! And def post pics of the end results.

WARNING: DO NOT STRIP YOUR HAIR!
After having a color like orange, you're hair will not go to a natural looking blonde (as you're expecting it would/should). My suggestion would be to use color in a form of medium/dark brown. That way this saves your hair from being completely limp and damaged from the stripping. After or while coloring your hair brown you can also have highlights put in to help GRADUALLY bring the hair up to the blonde color you would like to have it. This is a slower method, but it also allows your hair some time to repair itself--be very cautious when going blonde, especially if it is not your natural color.
To help maintain the health of your hair while transitioning, do a lot of oil and protien treatments so that the hair keeps a healthy shine and strength!
I hoped that helped you a lot! These are all of my own professional opinions and if you have any questions in reply, please don't hesitate to ask!
