Hi ladies! I'm 17 and just wondering what are the make up basics that I should have? What are the top 8 most essential items in your make up bag?? Thanks!! :D.

1. A good foundation & powder for your skin type (oily, dry, combo)
2. A concealer that covers under eye circles & blemishes
3. Matte & Shimmer Bronzer
4. Pink blush
5. Eyeshadow Primer (UD Primer Potion)
6. At least one neutral & one "fun" eyeshadow palette
7. Black Liquid & pencil eyeliner
8. Black mascara
9. Lipsticks & lip glosses (pink & nude)
10. Brow Powder
11. Makeup Brushes
Sorry this is more than 8! Lol. Hope this helps :)

(1) An affordable foundation is a must, try Covergirl's Clean Whipped foundation!
(3) A setting powder, I recommend NYC's translucent pressed powder
(3) A concealer that won't look too caked on, ELF has one that's great for beginners..and it's only $1!
(4) A powder brush and an eyeshadow brush
(5) Eyeshadows can be fun, try numerals at first.. maybelline color tattoos are great because you get lots of product for around $5-$6!
(6) Chaostick, I like Burt's Bee's ones!
(7) Bronzer and blush! Elf makes a compact that has both for $3 :)! just don't go overboard
(7) A mascara, Maybelline Great Lash is by far my favorite..unless you have black hair I would try a brownish black color..it will appear more natural than her black :)
(8) LIPSTICKS<3 You should always have a neutral, a pink and a red. Rimmel has amazing ones :)

Your makeup is only as good as the tools you use to apply it. invest in a few good makeup brushes and a beauty blender. I recommend getting a stippling brush, a buffing brush, an angled brush for liner and brows, a fluffy shadow brush and a contouring brush to start with. then go grab yourself an eyeshadow pallete of some quality shadows. if money is tight, wet and wild has some great eyeshadow quads. they contain the most MAC dupes out of any other makeup brand. urban decay naked 1 or 2 is a great one to have and you can find a good deal on amazon for that. get yourself a good eyeliner like urban decay 24/7 pencil, covergirl lash blast mascara is the best, and you need a good foundation and concealer. bh cosmetics has a great deal on a conceler pallet that has gotten great reviews on youtube by some highly rated makeup gurus and whichever foundation you choose, make sure it matches your skin tone exactly. Go to a makeup counter in the mall like mac, sephora or something like that and see what color they match you too. you can get free samples of stuff too by the way. all stores have free samples of makeup that they don't offer, you have to ask them for it. get a friend and stop at all sorts of stores and ask for them. I got 13 samples of stuff when I did it!
