Go to a salon that uses Redken and get them to use the chromatics line I am a hairstylist and that line makes your hair 20 times stronger than "virgin" hair :)

It works fantastic to condition your hair, but on the downside since its pure plant its not as strong as regular hair dye. If yiu have dark hair, and depending on the color you're going for, it may turn out but it probably won't be very bright. I tried the copper henna in my hair and it just gave me a red tint lol :) But if you're going for a light color, it would probably show! I hope I helped lol :)

Henna is the last thing you want to use if you want something easy to wash out. I've heard it is more permanent than permanent haircolor and if your decide you don't like it you can't bleach or color over it. I haven't used it personally but this is what they told us while I was in cosmetology school.

Well if your hair isn't a slight shade lighter than the color you want to achieve then you would have to lighten your hair before coloring it. A lighter shade than what you have now isn't going to show up very well on dark colors. Also, I've heard henna is bad for hair as well and very tough to get out. If you want something super easy to wash out, use a rinse. It rinses right out the next time you wash your hair. Semi-permanents last 4-6 weeks and Demi-permanents last 6-8 weeks. So those are options as well.
