I have a handful of different doc marten boots! The oldest pair I have in my size I bought about 12-13 years ago and they are still in amazing shape! They are the old designs that were made in england, which cost a little more to buy nowadays. I do have many pairs of docs that weren't the originals from england and they hold up very well also! They do take a little while to break in, so I usually buy them about a month in advance of when I want to start wearing them. They are not very cozy right away so I always wear ski socks and wear them around the house or on days where I don't have to walk very much. I also use leather stretching sprays and/or saddle soap on them and keep them super stuffed, filled with crumpled up newspapers when I'm not wearing them. It definitely helps break them in faster =) great investments though!

I think that they are great. I got the vegan ones because they are easier to break in than the leather ones. You also want to order true to size.
