Well, I've dyed my hair a dark brown but my real hair colour is a dark ashblonde. now I want my old hair colour back, how can I do that?
(1: the hairdresser I went to didn't want to do it)
(2: because my hair was ashblonde it absorbed all the red pigments in the dye, so now ist kinda orange/red)

Highlights :) work it back in no hairdresser will do it because its a big change so add some highlights to lighten it and go from there

You'll have to get your hairdresser to keep checking I had highlights mine went blonde but my friend did it & she went orange, it should be fine if your originally that colour but talk to a hairdresser first I'm just going from experience :)

If you go to Sally's they have a yellow box it's called one n' only color fix it removes hair dye without harsh bleaches however it may make your hair lighter than it was before

You have to neutralize out the red by using a natural brown, than go slightly lighter in steps.

The reason why your hair is that orange is because under the colour you put in you have an under lying pigment!! For example if you were black and going lighter the pigments you have to go through would be red, orange, yellow, blonde! If that makes sense! Since your not that dark you only have orange underlying pigment! Get a full head of bleach foils. It will bring the colour so much lighter and you'll have to tone it with a violet reflect as in the colour wheel violet counteracts orange. You can do that or get a variation of a mousy brown and bleach. After its light enough you could go over it with a dark blonde.. Toner. Depending how it turns out xx
