Ombre on short hair?

I have a bob a long bob and I kinda want to do a ombre look any suggestions?

If you've got layered hair then getting the underneath layer of your hair dyed the colour you want, it makes it look ombréd because as your layered hair falls on the dye, you'll only see the ends which gives you the ombré look:)
