Well you want it to be big, the stage lights will make your eyes appear much smaller than what they are.

Focus on lashes rather than a full black smokey eye and liner. From a distance, the smokey eyes can look like black blobs and your eyes aren't the focus. Get good false lashes to open up the eyes and at the same time, add drama and darkness. :)

Make sure that you wear a color, ANY COLOR on your lips. You don't want to look like a floating pair of eyes. I'd suggest that simple bronze smokey eye with liner, and a pink-nude lipstick that would pull it together.

I agree with Vanessa! I'd add a simple bold lip to that look (pink maybe) and false lashes!!
