Try a dark brown, never black...its too harsh. use an angled brush. I always lightly outline mine first, then do upward brush strokes to fill in the rest.

Ps the brush sucks so use your own or a good brand I like bobbi brown brushes best but the product it's self is good.

Use a dark brown eyeshadow with an angle brush, it will look more natural, but never use black

Once you get them done to your shape, fill them in with short strokes using a matte dark brown shade. Like stated before, never use black it's way too harsh.
